After bidding farewell to popular SABC 1 soapie, Generations: The Legacy earlier this year, actress Connie Ferguson is set to reprise her role as Karabo on the show.
The show’s spokesperson Gaaratwe Mokhethi confirmed this in a statement on Wednesday.
“Connie Ferguson has returned to Generations. She started shooting with the show recently and the cast and crew are excited by her return.“
“We (Generations) have a great relationship with Connie and so when we called her to help us with her story line‚ she was happy to return‚” Gaaratwe added.
Thus, Connie is expected to appear on the show once again in January 2017. Besides, we might be seeing her on the show for a while. According to Gaaratwe, Connie would be on the show for some time. However, the length of her stay with the Generations family would be determined by her storyline.
“She will be on screens for as long as her storyline needs her. The character of Karabo has always been key to the show‚” Gaaratwe said.
Notably, this marks the third time actress Connie Ferguson will reprise her role as Karabo on the show. In October 2014, Connie Ferguson agreed to reprise the role after a three-year absence from Generations.
Earlier this year, she left the soapie to focus on her other TV projects which include Mzansi Magic’s The Queen. The show kept viewers glued to their TV sets without blinking.
With a star-studded line-up of hotties like Senzo Ngqobe; Loyiso McDonald; Dineo Moeketsi; Bucie Nqwiliso; SK Khoza; Themba Ndaba; Natasha Thahane and Sello Maak Ka-Ncube; the show was everything viewers expected.
