Ama Qamata Dropped Out Of College In Her Second Year

The South African TV star was born on September 2, 1998, in Cala, Eastern Cape, South Africa. She is currently 26 years old. At the age of three, she had to move to Johannesburg with her family.

She attended Reddam House School and matriculated from high school in 2016, after which, she took a year-long break before going into the university. Ama Qamata got admitted into the University of Cape Town to study for a degree in Theatre and Performance but she dropped out in her second year to give better attention to her acting career.

The first season of Blood and Water was released on Netflix on the 20th of May 2020. The South African teen series is the first of its kind in Africa. Members of the cast of the TV series include Khosi Ngema, Gail Mabalane, Thabang Molaba, and so many others. Netflix has renewed the series for a second season and filming ended in March 2021.
