Zonke Dikana To Support Iconic Singer Lionel Richie On Stage In SA tour

Multi-platinum award-winning soulful singer Zonke Dikana is gracing this year with a distinctive place in the musical world.

Zonke Dikana will be sharing the stage with iconic R&B singer and Grammy-winning superstar Lionel Richie on Sunday 13 March at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban as well as on Tuesday 15 March at the Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg. This will be during his South African tour next month.

His next stop will be at Cape Town Stadium on Friday 18 March and the climax will be on Sunday 20 March and Monday 21 March. Zonke will serve as the supporting singer for Richie at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg.

Zonke expressed her excitement in a statement when she said “I am looking forward to delighting audiences with all time favourites and new soul hits off my latest album titled “Work of Heart”

“And I am especially excited to be sharing the stage with Lionel Richie who I have admired for taking pride in his art. This is an opportunity for South Africans to experience a quality production.”



Zonke Dikana is one of South Africa’s superstars in the music industry. She not only sings and performs on stage, she also writes and produces her own songs.

Zonke Dikana is one of the most accomplished songwriters on the SA music scene and has written and co-written hits for dance artist Winnie Khumalo, kwaito rapper Thebe, late R&B star TK and worked with legends like Bongo Maffin and Oskido.

She has successfully pulled off three albums on major international labels and she recently won two SAMA awards for Best Live DVD and Best African Adult album. Her latest album ‘Work of Heart’ has received three Metro Fm nominations in the categories – Best Female, Best RnB and Best African Pop album.

All these achievements were not handed over on a platter of gold. She worked hard to attain great heights and that is the spirit of a true African woman.
