This is bad news for all the fans who have been craving for Zakes Bantwini’s album, Love, Light and Music 2.
There was a massive setback on the album, which was supposed to be released later this year. Zake’s computer on which he stored the work done on the album crashed. Thus, its release has been pushed to a later date, possibly late 2017.
As a result, the musician took to Instagram on Thursday to keep his fans posted on what has been going on. According to the singer, he has not been able to get any work done in studio for the last two weeks. He then revealed that the album will now be released in September 2017.
Nevertheless, in the midst of the mishap, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Luckily, Zakes has a plan B which entails releasing another album while we wait for the other one.
“Don’t panic! Next month I will release another album I’ve been working on parallel to Love, Light and Music 2. My new album title is called: Conversations with Steve Biko,” he announced.
In addition, Zakes shared a glimpse of the interesting artwork for the new album. The piece of art depicts a black sketch of the musician standing next to Steve Biko.
He also added that he will be announcing the track-list for the soon to be released album next Monday. Zakes Bantwini’s Album Conversations with Steve Biko will be his first album since The Fake Book & Real Book: My Music Bible album released in 2013.
In the meantime, we will have to make do with the available album while waiting for the singer to get things ready for Love, Light and Music 2.
