Remember the movie Atandwa Kani and Altovise Lawrence recently filmed in Atlanta? It premieres in South Africa this month.
The romantic comedy Love By Chance, a South Africa-US co-production will premiere in Johannesburg on Tuesday, 25 April.
Meanwhile, US actors Terri J Vaughn; Desi Banks and Ja’el Roberson will join the local actors at a press event and premiere.
Directed by award-winning international film and television producer and director Samad Davis, Love By Chance centres on two aspiring South African actors who are trying everything possible to make it in Hollywood. The two meet each other by chance and give love a shot.
Fellow South Africans Denise Zimba, Nicholas Nkuna and US actress Terry Vaughn are also part of the cast.
According to Davis, Love by Chance is a pioneering film because of the way it brings together both US and South African talent. In addition, its backdrop of comedy also bridges cultural and continental division.
While it premieres next week, the film will be released in the cinemas nationwide on Friday, 5 May.

Earlier this month, local star Atandwa Kani tweeted that he would remain in the US unless he is sure of getting some love when he returns to South Africa. This includes being offered a local magazine cover and a role in several local productions including a series; a film and even a commercial.
If I go back to South Africa and I don't get love; at LEAST 1 Cover, 1 film, 1 series & 1 commercial OFFER, I'm done. I'm good right here!

These requests he said, must be met upon his return to the country or else he’s done. In other words, he will return to the States and remain there. Apparently, he’s tired of being ignored in his own country.
