A sex toy company Hot Octopuss in New York city introduced the first ever masturbation booth, where men can pop in for a few minutes of some midday ‘stress relief‘. The sex booth, called ‘GuyFi’ which is located at 28th St. and 5th Avenues, serves as a mid-workday stress reliever outlet.
Report reaching us states that the booth was created in response to a survey which concluded that 39% of the men it questioned admitted to masturbating at work.
Explaining the purpose of the boot, the Hot Octopuss co-founder Adam Lewis said it is necessary for people to take a break at work.
“There’s no denying that working a nine to five job can be stressful on both your mind and body, especially in a non-stop city like Manhattan. It’s really important for guys to look after themselves so that they can stay healthy and focus properly on the task in hand. We’re told time and time again how beneficial it is to have a break away from your desk. At Hot Octopuss we are all about looking for new solutions to improve everyday life and we feel we’ve done just that with the new GuyFi booth. We hope the city’s men enjoy using the space we’ve created in whatever way they want. It’s completely free of charge… all that we ask is they thank us when they get their promotion!”
The booth which was an out-of-service telephone kiosk but now comes equipped with a chair, laptop, wifi connection and a curtain, intends to take the act of masturbation off the office and into a more private, well-equipped space.
Speaking further on their aim, the company’s representative said “We may be insinuating that these booths could be used in whichever way anyone would like to ‘self soothe…but the brand is not actively encouraging people to masturbate in public as that is an illegal offense.”
The company had however claimed that over 100 men used the renovated phone booth on its first day, and a representative later stated that “the brand is not actively encouraging people to masturbate in public as that is an illegal offence.”
Meanwhile, its been reported that masturbating in public spaces has become an epidemic in NYC. Last summer the NYPD went on a citywide manhunt in search of a guy who choked the chicken behind a small hat on subway trains. It’s real in the field, to say the least.
