The Sodwana Guest House that labelled DA Leader, Mmusi Maimane a ‘beastly little bastard’ has attracted the wrath of KNZ ANCYL. The Youth League has vowed to shut down the Guest House for its racist attitude.
Speaking for the KNZ ANCYL this morning, Mandla Shange divulged that the organization would picket at the lodge until it’s shut down.
Shange warned the Guest House that it’s about to face the full might of the nation’s youth.
He said the league would mobilize and march to the guest house on Monday to demand the Guest House abandon its racist attitude or shut down.
“The youth league will not tolerate any discrimination of a people based on the color of their skin. This guest house must conform with the rules of the country or close shop. We will not allow a racist establishment to exist after more than two decades of democracy in this country.
The youth league will therefore march to stage a picket at the guesthouse in order to force its management to reverse its decision. A racist establishment will not operate in this country,” Shange stated.
Also, Shange referred to the revelation by the DA leader that he once received racist insults from the Sodwana Guest House owner Andre Slade. He rebuked Maimane and the DA arguing that keeping quiet on the matter till now indicates the support for the racist agenda which the DA stand for.
“We trust our people as we head to the local government elections to punish those who sympathize and wish for a time under the apartheid regime,” Shange added.
The Guest House stirred a public outcry after an email the owner sent to a guest circulated on social media yesterday.
The email described as ‘racist’ by many reads: “…We do not accommodate blacks or government officials any longer.”
The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) is presently investigating Slade for the alleged racist behavior.
