Proud of his achievements so far, SA rapper Cassper Nyovest announced to fans earlier this week that his debut album has gone multi-platinum.
Like that wasn’t enough, Cassper added that his second album has been certified double-platinum. In other words, SA Rapper Cassper Nyovest is reeking of platinum.
The great news came from the rapper during a recent Twitter Q&A session with fans. He confirmed the speculations, adding that he didn’t want to announce anything until he received his certificate.

In answer to a fan’s question whether his second album Refiloe had gone double-platinum, Cassper replied in the affirmative.
“I didn’t want to announce on social media before I get my certificates but YES. Tsholofelo is also Multi Platinum.”
The rapper announced in December that the album had gone platinum, and encouraged fans to help it go double-platinum.
“2 platinum albums back 2 back. I couldn’t ask for a better fan base. Let’s keep pushing. The goal is double platinum!!! #Refiloe” he tweeted.
Cassper went out of his way to attain gold certification with this album, including the cost of the album in ticket prices and giving it away to fans at his Fill Up The Dome concert last year.
The move was to ensure that he sold enough copies for the album to go gold on the first day of its release.
During an interview with Jacaranda FM in June, Cassper hinted at the achievements he has made but refused to give out further information on that.
His first album went gold within the first three months of its release in 2014. Six months later, it was certified platinum.
Also, during the Q&A with fans, Cassper declared he’s single and searching. He also hinted that he is not opting for a celebrity this time unless of course she is Minnie Dlamini.
