Former Tshwane WiFi-TV presenter Dineo Moloisane has come under fire on social media for making derogatory comments about the latest SA Idol Noma Khumalo.
Idols SA season 12 winner Noma Khumalo who scooped the title on Sunday night has faced body shaming trolls since she stepped under the spotlight.
Thus, Moloisane thought she could join the chorus. Taking to her Facebook page shortly after the results were announced, Moloisane expressed her disappointment at the outcome of the singing competition. Apparently, she was rooting for Thami Shobedeto to win the title.
Furthermore, she predicted that Thami will soon overtake Noma on the road to success.
“But anyway runner ups become more successful than winners, so let me relax…let me chill…Thami we waiting on your success…Mmatema is making us proud, I know you will too,” she wrote.
When she realised she may have spoken out of turn, Moloisane quickly deactivated her account. But not to worry, the internet took screenshots just in case.
Subsequently, her followers called her out for saying that Noma did not look like an Idol. Still wondering what an Idol should look like though. We understand her disappointment that the person she was rooting for didn’t win, but does that really call for body shaming the talented SA Idol Noma?
“She doesn’t even look like an Idol..she has to start by losing weight..o re bakela mereko #bored #sigh,” she wrote, a comment that left her wishing she should have just kept quiet.
While some followers told her to mind her business, others agreed that Noma had to lose weight, but she (Moloisane) had to go get her face fixed. The heat must have been overwhelming that she had to deactivate her account.
