Revamped Touch HD: Tbo Touch Unveils New DJ Line-up

The sizzling lineup for the revamped Touch HD has been unveiled by the CEO and radio mogul Tbo Touch on Tuesday.

Touch unveiled some major changes for his digital online radio station which he described as the Uber of radio. These changes will take effect from April 1 this year.

The revamped Touch HD was taken out of the digital radio station Touch Central which was launched on 29 August 2016, as the collaborative brainchild of media icons TBO Touch, aka ‘Mr HD Radio’, and Gareth Cliff.

Subsequently, in the bid to create a bigger and better online listening experience for his audience, radio mogul Tbo Touch threw in R28 million to relaunch his online radio station Touch Central under the new name – Touch HD.

Touch HD is aimed at creating a bigger, better, ‘high definition’ online listening experience for its audience. To achieve this, major changes were made in the lineup and mode of operation.

Here are some of the changes made to the line-up of the revamped Touch HD:

Though its an online radio, streaming the revamped Touch HD will be free for all MTN users.

Nevertheless, the station will continue to stream through mobile (phone), online streaming, podcasting and digital audio broadcasting.

The radio will continue being a pioneer in the African digital online radio space with a stronger focus. It will also serve as a source for fresh content in the urban African and cosmopolitan youth market. The station aims to achieve this by delivering the highest quality of music, current affairs, lifestyle and entertainment news from around the continent.

Additional platforms will be launched at a later stage to make digital radio more accessible.
