As one of the biggest entertainers in the country, it’s no surprise to hear that it could cost you something between R90,000 and R130,000 to have AKA at your event. Make no mistake, his performance might just last a few minutes and off he goes.

In an attempt to prove a point, the rapper revealed the figure he charges per event. AKA has always been one to tackle criticisms as they come and that was what he was doing in a heated Twitter argument over the weekend.

A lot of fans have accused him of getting rich from campaigning for the ANC during the recent municipal election rallies.

Thus, AKA responded to this by bragging about what he takes home after a 30-minute gig. According to the rapper, what he made from the ANC during the campaign rallies was nothing compared to what he charges to appear in shows.

Trust South Africans to seize the opportunity to seek financial help from the rapper while some fans were left shocked.

However, what rapper AKA charges for a gig is not so different when compared to the amount that Cassper Nyovest pockets after a show.

Though the rapper recently told fans that he doesn’t know how much he charges anymore because the price “keeps going up.”

There were reports in February claiming that Cassper charges around R120 000 for a show. This excludes flights tickets and accommodation for himself and his crew.
