And barely hours after his shocking and painful demise, plans are underway to establish a trust in his honour.

The champion’s close ally; Janez Vermeiren, disclosed this on social media on Monday afternoon.

Vermeiren recalled that Zulu was fondly known for his generosity; hence, it’s time to give back to the lovely family he left behind. He said the trust would be raising money to put Zulu’s one-year baby through school.

“Gugu always gave off his time to charities and used his good name to raise funds for others. It is now time for us to give back and to ensure his beautiful wife and daughter are looked after.

This is the best gift we can give a man who always gave the best of himself to us all‚” Vermeiren said.

Vermeiren also encouraged well-meaning South Africans to help raise money for the project.
