After much speculation and drama, local radio personality Masechaba Ndlovu has announced that she has resigned from Power FM.

Taking to her personal Twitter account on Friday, Masechaba told her fans that she has sent in her resignation which will take effect immediately.

“I have resigned from PowerFM with immediate effect. Thank you all for your unwavering love and support. Wishing the station all of the best.”

This comes barely a month after a tweet which was sent from the radio station’s official Twitter account said that Ndlov, Lawrence Tlhabane and some other presenters were getting fired. The tweet which appeared at the beginning of February went viral.

Consequently, Power FM explained that their Twitter account was hacked. In other words, the announcement was not made in their name.

The previous drama at the station left everyone wondering if Masechaba’s resignation was also a hacking issue. However, her husband, Vusi Ndlovu, confirmed that her account had not been hacked. This means that she has really left the radio station. He however, refused to discuss the matter further and only confirmed that it was true.

In the meantime, Power FM has not made any statement but promised to do so as soon as possible. Nevertheless, it looks like there’s a storm coming.
