A little digging revealed that Wayde is presently in a relationship with Chesney Campbell. The duo have been dating for three years now.

Ordinarily, one might expect the now popular artist to hide his relationship status following his fame and all. However, Wayde still flaunts his lady on social media on regular basis.

He has posted several pictures of his girlfriend on Instagram and from all indications, the two are head over heel in love with each other.

One the posts saw Wayde labeling Chesney as his “blesser,” after writing a sweet note to her.

“I don’t know where you come from, but you everywhere I go, I don’t know why you chose me, but as long as you’re here, I don’t need to know. So don’t go,” he wrote.

Olympic gold medalist Wayde van Niekerk was pushed to instant fame earlier this week after winning the men’s 400m.

As expected, Usain Bolt dominated the Olympic headlines on Sunday, but Wayde van Niekerk broke a world record on the tracks of Rio.

The South African stunned the world when he trumped Michael Johnson’s 17-year-old 400 metres record to clinch the gold medal. Van Niekerk won the race from a difficult position; lane 8, finishing at an unbelievable time of 43.03 seconds.

What made his victory more outstanding is the fact that he broke the oldest standing men’s sprint record.

“I believed it was possible,” said the 24-year-old. “I am just glad things went my way tonight.

However, being one of the most popular people on earth didn’t change his feelings for his girlfriend.
