Siphiwe Tshabalala is a South African professional footballer; he plays the midfield position (mostly as a winger) for Kaizer Chiefs and he’s also the captain of the team.

Siphiwe Tshabalala – Personal Life

Siphiwe Tshabalala (Lawrence) was born on the 29th of September 1984. His father (Isaac Tshabalala) was a taxi driver; Siphiwe was the first child of two from his mother (Hadifele Rebecca). His mother died on the 5th of December 2010; after a head injury sustained from a fall at a bridal shower which she was attending with Siphiwe’s father.

Siphiwe has a child with the former Miss SA (Bokang Montjane). They have been dating since 2012 and their first child (a boy) by the name Owami was born on the 6th of February 2015.

Siphiwe Tshabalala – Professional Football Career

Siphiwe made his debut for KaizerChiefs on the 31st of August 2007, after recovering from a knee injury. He played his first ever cup final on the 1st of December 2007; his team won the Telkom Knockout via penalties against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Siphiwe Tshabalala scored his first Kaizer Chiefs goal on the 12th of December 2007 against the Golden Arrows. Between 2008 and 2009, Siphiwe continuously did above and beyond his expectations, landing him various awards within and outside his team.

On the 25th of August 2015, Siphiwe scored a magnificent goal; hitting the ball on the volley from a great distance. His goal was nominated as one of the best goals of the season and it happened at the same stadium where he scored a similar goal against Mexico in the FIFA 2010 world cup.

Siphiwe prefers to stay away from the daily hustle and bustle of the city. He lives in Johannesburg and his house has a swimming pool, an entertainment area with a Deejay Equipment setup and a trampoline at the backyard.
