Bongani Zungu

Bongani Zungu is a South African footballer who used to play for the Mamelodi Sundowns football club in South Africa, but was recently signed to a Portuguese football club by the name ‘Vitoria Sport Clube’.

Bongani was born on the 9th of October 1992, he is an attacking midfielder and plays for the South African National football team (Bafana Bafana).

Bongani Zungu’s Professional Football Career

Bongani started playing football professionally in 2010; when he joined the Dynamos football club in South Africa. He remained in the club for two years, before moving to play for the University of Pretoria Football Club (Tuks FC).

Zungu played with Tuks FC for only one season and eventually moved to join the Mamelodi Sundowns Football Club on an exchange deal.

After playing with the Sundowns for three years; Zungu caught the eyes of Vitoria Guimaraes team in Portugal and on the 20th of January 2016, the move was made official.

Due to a hairline fracture which Zungu picked up in his last match while playing for his old team (Mamelodi Sundowns); he has since missed a lot of playing time with his new Portuguese team. The injury which sidelined the player out of the rest of Sundowns’ Championship-winning season has also seen him on the sideline for the better half of the season with his new team.

National Team

Zungu made his debut for South Africa in 2013; against Burkina Faso (South Africa won that match 2-0). Three months later, Zungu scored his first goal for South Africa; against Swaziland (The match ended in a 3-0 win to South Africa).

Social Media Shock

Zungu recently shocked his fans and followers at large on social media; after a video of him playing around with his private part naked in the bathroom surfaced. It created various mix reactions, while some found it sexy and funny, others were disappointed.
