Bonang Matheba is one of the well-loved media personalities in South Africa. Bonang is involved in radio presentation, TV, as well as business. She became popular for hosting programmes on SABC 1 and Metro FM.

She was born in Mahikeng, on 25th June 1987. Her parents got divorced when she was still a child of five, and she was raised by her single mother in Mahikeng.
Her mother remarried and they moved to Johannesburg and lived in Leondale. From here, they moved to Midrand. Bonang attended her high school at Fourways High School where she matriculated.
It was since the age of nine that she decided she would be a presenter, although being a primary school teacher was her first and earliest dream.

Popularly known as Queen B among her fans, Bonang began her professional life as a media personality at the age of 15, through auditions. Her first major show was on SABC 1 called “Amp Live”. The show grew to have seven million viewers weekly.
She continued her professional life with SABC 3, where she presented the Afternoon Express, as well as being among the presenters of the popular SABC 3 show; Top Billing. She is also the host of the reality show, Clash of the Choirs South Africa and is the anchor of the Metro FM show, The Front Row, which has a massive followership in the country.
Through her professional journey, she has gone to MC and host events such as the Sentebale Gala Dinner in the presence of Prince Harry of Wales in 2013, the 2014 Inaugural South African of the Year Awards, Channel O Africa Music Awards, and Metro FM Music Awards. She has also been a part of Trey Songz Concert, and 50 Cent and G-Unit Concert.
In 2008, she started her clothing line; Just B. She followed this up with Baby Star a year later. Baby Star is a range of trendy bags which she introduced. She as well owns Bonang For Distraction, which is a lingerie line launched in 2014 in partnership with Woolsworths.
As part of her businesses, she owns the Bonang Matheba Entertainment. In 2011, she launched an online reality show, B*Dazzled, which was the first online reality show in the country.
She is into entertainment, DJ works, TV and Radio presenting, Entrepreneurship, as well as event hosting and serving as a Judge in various shows and events.
She has earned some nominations such as African Personality of the Year MTV Africa Music Awards (2015) and South African Film and Television Awards Best TV Presenter (2015).
Bonang has graced the cover of different magazines in South Africa and beyond. She became the first black South African woman to grace the cover of Glamour Magazine South Africa, and Glamour SA. She has covered Cosmopolitan Magazine, Elle Magazine, and Cleo.
Also, she was a judge on Miss South Africa Pageant in 2014, and SABC 3 Presenter Search in 2015. She was listed as Forbes 13 celebrities to watch in 2013, in a list that had individuals like South African comedian making it big in the US, Trevor Noah; Ghana’s music star, Sarkodie; and British-Nigerian actor David Oyetokunbo Oyelowo.
She is a brand ambassador for Revlon, becoming the only face of Revlon outside USA in 2013. By becoming the ambassador, she joined others like Halle Berry, Olivia Wilde, and Emma Stone.
