Julius Malema’s 36th birthday celebration would have been incomplete without a special rendition from the EFF’s nightingale and the people’s bae – Mbuyensi Ndlozi.
Known for his rich melodious and breathtaking voice, Ndlozi took to Instagram on Thursday and lavished a heart melting and beautiful birthday lines on the commander-in-chief of the Economic Freedom Fighters.
The video of the incredible birthday song has so far been watched by over 5000 people – just within a few hours – telling you how much people (especially ladies) love hearing the people’s bae’s sensational voice.
The EFF spokesperson had earlier sent a wonderful birthday message to Malema via a statement; describing him as an idol of the fighters. He wrote:
“This is in indeed a special day in the Economic Emancipation Movement‚ not just here in South Africa‚ but in the continent and the world. It is a special day because on this day‚ a giant was born for the historic task of advancing the African Revolution.
We want to express deep appreciation first to his family and wife who over the years have allowed this son of the soil to live for the cause of freedom for our people.
We thank them because even as they love him and embrace him‚ because of the revolution‚ they too sacrifice that he may always be present to command our picket lines of revolutionary change….His name already stands in the same shining light as that of many African revolutionaries across the world.
On his birthday, we wish him well in his studies and express great pride that despite the work of building our revolution‚ he has managed to advance his academic achievements. This journey represents humility and love for knowledge that lacks amongst many leaders.
On behalf of all fighters‚ we salute the Commander in Chief and wish him a long life.”

Oddly enough, Malema is younger than the ANC Youth League’s Collen Maine, whose nomination for league president was very controversial in 2015, when he turned 35.
Julius Sello Malema, a Pedi, was born on March 3, 1981. He grew up in Seshego, Transvaal Province. His mother was a domestic worker and a single parent.
He joined the African National Congress’s Masupatsela at the age of nine. He held many posts in the ANC, including the president of the party’s youth league (ANCYL) in 2008.
In 2013, he formed the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) after his expulsion from the ANC in April 2012.
In March 2010, Malema was convicted of hate after he sang the lyrics “shoot the Boer” (Dubul’ ibhunu) from the anti-apartheid song “Ayasab’ amagwala” (The cowards are scared) at a rally on a university campus.
Malema graduated from Mohlakaneng High School, Seshego, Limpopo. In 2010, he completed a two-year diploma in youth development through University of South Africa (UNISA).
In 2011, he enrolled at UNISA for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and African languages, and he graduated in March 2016.
