As part of his Purpose World Tour, international superstar Justin Bieber announced today that he will be coming to South Africa in May 2017.
In addition, Big Concerts on Thursday morning announced that the star will storm Mzansi for a tour which is presented by Discovery.
The Sorry hitmaker started the Purpose World Tour on March 9, 2016 in Seattle. Eventually, the tour will be wrapped up on September 5, 2017 in Toronto.
Bieber has visited South Africa before in 2013 to sold-out crowds. He was much younger then and now that he’s all grown up, there’s no doubt he will attract even more fans who are eager to watch him perform. In fact, Twitter has gone crazy since the announcement was made on Thursday.
The pop star will perform at two shows in the country, one in Cape Town and one more in Johannesburg.
The Purpose World Tour which is in support of his fourth studio album Purpose (2015), is the third worldwide tour by the Canadian singer Justin Bieber.
His latest album Purpose has dominated pop culture and social media with 3.1 million sales worldwide. Also Bieber’s current global tour for the album has smashed box office records.
Bieber also broke a record with his hit singles including; ‘What Do you Mean’, ‘Sorry’, ‘Love Yourself’ which all stood at number one on the Billboard Top 200. As a result, Bieber became the first male artist in almost a decade to have three number ones from one album.
