BuzzSouthAfrica gathered that a double life imprisonment has been handed to a 55-year-old father by the Garankuwa Regional Court for raping his daughter.
The South African Police Service (SAPS) said the conviction follows the arrest and trial of the accused who raped his 13-year-old daughter in Letlhabile while her mother was away from home.
As learnt, the man attacked his daughter with an axe and dealt her a blow after she reported the rape to her mother. Thus, he was found guilty of attempted murder and sentenced to another eight years imprisonment.
Also, Garankuwa Magistrates’ Court sentenced another 32-year-old man identified as Abel Lekwane to life imprisonment for another unrelated rape incident.
Lekwane reportedly attacked and raped a 28-year-old woman while she was walking with her friend.
