South African actor and former Isidingo star Emmanuel Castis has joined the list of SA celebs making waves overseas.
The actor who is best known for his Steven role on Isidingo bagged a new role on American soapie General Hospital.
Taking to Twitter this week, Emmanuel Castis announced his new role to fans.
The soapie has made a remarkable impact on viewers and is counted as one of the longest running American soapies still in production.
This is a great achievement for the actor and also the South African entertainment industry.
What makes the news even juicier is the fact that its coming only days after another local star, Pearl Thusi, officially joined the cast of US drama series Quantico.
Pearl was excited about the opportunity to work with world stars on the series.
“I have been such a big fan of the show for such a long time and it is a dream come true to be a part of it. I am proud to be paving the way for South Africa and am absolutely thrilled to be joining the extraordinarily talented Quantico team,” said Pearl
On her Instagram, Pearl indicated that she is currently in New York and has started filming for the drama series.
“And God bless the amazing souls i’ve been working with. So talented. So humble. So kind. I’m inspired by them. So happy to join the @abcquantico team! As we dive straight into it!”
Pearl also shard some pictures indicating that she has been spending a lot of time with international actress Priyanka Chopra. She described her as just “down to earth.”
Pearl Thusi will be playing Dayana Mampasi in the new season of Quantico.
Dayana is a driven, disciplined, type-A lawyer who struggles to fit in though she seems to have it all.
