The startling phenomenon known as the blood moon Tetrad is expected this weekend to color the Easter festivities red. The ‘Blood Moon’ is a rare celestial event which will see the skies over North America, Asia and Australia be transformed into a deep, red color.
Blood Moon Tetrad was predicted to occur on Jewish Feasts in 2014 and 2015, so the moon is set to turn blood-red this weekend in an event some pastors are claiming was predicted by the Bible as a sign of Christ’s return. It is set to be the third of four ‘Blood Moon’ events since 2014 which experts believe will be completed by the end of the year

The phrase blood moon conveys the color of the moon during a lunar eclipse. When the earth passes between the moon and the sun during a full moon it literally casts a giant shadow. But the rare ‘Tetrad’ of four alignments in close proximity is said by NASA to have happened just a handful of times in the last 2,000 years.
Usually the moon appears as a darkish red-gray—not blood red. But of course the phrase ‘blood moon’ conveys a much more graphic and colorful expression than a ‘darkened gray’ moon. Thus, the more poignant description has come to be the standard way to refer to the phenomena. The fact the Bible talks in several places about the moon turning to blood no doubt helped the phrase enter our vernacular.
The frightening trend, however, is that many in the professing Protestant Church, and many of those lost in Catholicism, Mormonism, the Worldwide Church of God and Jehovah’s Witnesses are being told NOT to pay attention to the warning embedded in this upcoming Blood Moon Tetrad on Jewish Feasts.
The primary reason they give for their dismissal of the Signs in the Heavens, including this Blood Moon Tetrad, is that this method of prophetic study is not of God because it supposedly has pagan roots, and it is therefore wicked and superstitious mumbo jumbo!
A US Pastor has said that the phenomenon shows that a ‘great worldwide event’ is set to take place and was predicted in the Bible.
The King James Bible says in Joel and again in Acts : “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes.”
Pastors are laying hold on this scripture to better convince people who the coming of the Lord is near even though most others don’t seem inclined to believe it considering the fact that the occurrence of the blood moon only seems to mean more to the Jewish nation.
Pastor John Hagee claims the Blood Moon falling on an Easter weekend is a sign ‘something dramatic will happen which will change the whole world’. He said:
“I believe we’re going to see something dramatic happen in the Middle East involving Israel that will change the course of history in the Middle East and impact the whole world.
It has been observed that the most remarkable about this blood moon is that it specifically fulfills prophecies set out in the Bible. this line of reason has further been strengthened by “Joel Chapter Two which says the ‘Day of the Lord will be as when the sun refuses to shine’.
He went on to that “Even Jesus himself, in the Book of Luke, states there ‘will be signs in the sun, moon and stars’ and to ‘lift up your heads for redemption draws nigh … there’s a sequence of prophetic events that the Bible says will happen. It does not, ever, give a timeline”.
In another line of thought, the occurrence of the blood moon has been linked to the apocalypse. It is called the most portent of the apocalypse in our day.
