In the bid to prove that he is alive and kicking, DJ Black Coffee shared a recent snapshot of himself.
The Bet Awards winner has just become the latest victim to be pronounced dead on the social media.
A Facebook post by United Press Entertainment has gone viral with the news that DJ Black Coffee died in Spain.
According to the post, Black Coffee was found unconscious in a hotel room in Spain, he was then rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Just in case you are getting goose pimples over that, relax because Black Coffee is very much alive!
The blatant lie was making rounds on the internet this week, special thanks to several small blogs.
However, the allegedly dead DJ took to Twitter on Monday evening to dismiss the rumours of his death. He also buttressed his point by posting a recent picture of himself.

DJ Black Coffee also responded to the messages left on his Facebook page by concerned fans saying:
“I am alive and well. Don’t believe the lies you read”, while adding that the reports are “not true” and he will not “tolerate lies.”
Last month, following the awards ceremony held in Los Angeles, Black Coffee became the first South African artist to walk away with a BET Award in the category: ‘Best International Act – Africa’ as part of the recognition awards at the 2016 BET Africa.
The race was definitely not an easy one as Black Coffee crushed out other superstars like AKA‚ Cassper Nyovest‚ Diamond Platnumz‚ MzVee‚ Serge Beynaud‚ Wizkid and Yemi Alade to win the BET trophy.
Earlier this month, actress Terry Pheto also fell victim to this increasing social media scam. A fake post spread a fake death news about the actress and it went viral.
However, she immediately took to Twitter to assure her fans that she was alive and well.
