Disney is set to make history by featuring the very first Disney gay moment with a gay character in the new live-action version of Beauty and the Beast.
This is according to Attitude magazine’s social media post on Wednesday which hinted on what to expect in the highly-anticipated movie.
The new film which is one of 2017’s hottest movies is already making waves in the industry. In addition to teasers; attractive posters and a lot of trailers and clips, the new Beauty and the Beast is now standing out for making Disney history with new features.

Apparently, Bill wouldn’t let the cat out of the bag. Nonetheless, he let us know that Josh’s character was initially confused about what he wants.
“He’s confused about what he wants. It’s somebody who’s just realising that he has these feelings. And Josh makes something really subtle and delicious out of it. And that’s what has its payoff at the end, which I don’t want to give away. But it is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie,” reveals Bill.
This exclusive Disney gay moment might be hard to adjust to since it’s very different from the regular Disney plots. Fans are so used to a beautiful princess finding her prince charming while both will end up living happily ever after in Disney storylines which has set the benchmark for romance for the younger generation.
However, all that is about to change as Disney is set to move into a new era as it introduces its first “exclusively gay moment.”
The film will be available in South African cinemas from 14 April 2017.
