While we are still trying to find our jaws on the ground after hearing that Denise Zimba stole a pie, the TV star has come out to refute the allegation.
According to a weekend report on Sunday World, former Generations: The Legacy actress and Vuzu Amp presenter Denise Zimba helped herself to a pie from a Checkers Hyper in Sandton, without paying.
Meanwhile, the incident which happened two years ago has not attracted any arrest for the offence committed. The can of worms was allegedly opened by a staff who was present at the time.
“It has been two years and you are ignoring the story. Why do you treat celebs differently,” said the staff.
In addition, though no arrest has been made, Police spokesman Lungelo Dlamini confirmed that a case of theft was opened at the Sandton police station.
After failed attempts to get a statement from the accused, she resorted to social media to make her voice heard. Via a lengthy message posted to her Instagram on Sunday, Denise made her voice heard. Apparently, she wasn’t impressed with the way people are trying to rubbish her name.
Denise made a list of pressing issues in our society today that people should channel their energy to instead of making up stories about her. In other words, she insisted that the story was a mere fabrication.
“There they go again! Defamation of character is a big offense. You guys are ruining my business with all this bull sh*t stories. With all the horrible things happening in society; the suffering; lack of education; high taxes; political turmoil; high education rates; the justice system failing our country the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer…really now. Making up some pie story.”
