Real Madrid forward, Cristiano Ronaldo says 2016 is his perfect year.
The 31-year-old footballer made the remark after he netted a hat-trick and helped his club defeat Kashima Antlers to bag the Club World Cup.
He first scored a penalty and netted twice in extra time to aid his club’s 4 – 2 defeat of Kashima Antlers.
With that, the Portuguese player who received his fourth Ballon d’Or award in Paris last week, added the Fifa title to his Euro 2016 and Champions League triumphs.

Speaking after Real Madrid picked up the Club World Cup trophy, Ronaldo said:
“This is the trophy! We really wanted to end the year in the best way possible… I didn’t think it would end like this; winning the final, scoring three goals and helping Real Madrid.”
He thanked his teammates for the individual trophies be won saying:
“We won the Champions League, the Uefa Super Cup and the Club World Cup. I also won the Euros with Portugal. It was a perfect year. I am very happy to end the year in such a way.
“I’d like to thank my team-mates yet again, because I cannot win individual trophies without them.”
The Portuguese forward asserted that more is expected of him, and promised to keep his performance level as high as possible.
“Everyone always expects more from Cristiano” he said, “I always give my best and if I can’t do it it’s because I’m unable. People often talk too much, but I’m used to that. I show my quality on the pitch and nothing has gone badly.
“I have kept my level of performance as high as possible over the last 10 years. I want to keep working and enjoy my football, that is what I love the most.
“The statistics don’t lie. I am really happy, I’ve had a great season personally and as part of a team,” added Cristiano Ronaldo
