Still on Kanye West’s floating stage saga, rapper Cassper Nyovest has just admitted that he got the inspiration to debut the idea from something Kanye did.
Cassper has been making headlines for allegedly copying the floating stage idea from the American rapper. However, Cassper maintained that he conceived the idea before Kanye whom he perceives as his idol. Notably, Cassper first used the floating stage at the TicketPro Dome a year ago.
Kanye West’s floating stage saga started unfolding after the rapper interrupted his own show in Canada. Turned out he only wanted to tell concert-goers how some unnamed artist had ‘stolen’ his idea for a floating stage. Thus, he told his audience to beware of fake.
Like wild fire, the news spread and US media quickly pointed accusing fingers at Cassper. Speculations had it that Kanye may have been referring to him.
Meanwhile, speaking to 947 on Friday morning about the matter, Cassper said that Kanye actually inspired him to do the floating stage.
“It’s so weird because I’m such a big fan of Kanye and when we did that stage it was actually inspired by something that I had seen by Kanye,” Cassper said.
Unfortunately, Cassper refused to let the cat out of the bag. Thus, we are still in the dark when it comes to what what it was that motivated the idea.
Anyway, it’s possible that Cassper may have been referring to an overhead collection of lighting effects used by Kanye for his stage at the Glastonbury Festival in 2015.

The Kanye West’s floating stage saga caused such a stir that one of America’s most popular radio shows mentioned it. That almost led to another mess as renowned host Charmalagne Tha God referred to Cassper as ‘some artist in Africa’. Those were his words while discussing the issue on the show..
