Though still in the oven, Cassper Nyovest’s new album is getting ready to drop and the Abuti Fill Up fans are expecting nothing short of flames.
The multi-award winning rapper who was seen with American R&B singer Goapele in the studio recently has finally announced a drop date for his album to which he proclaimed “his best work” by far.
Cassper’s new album dubbed Thuto is set to be released on 7 May this year. This will be his third studio album following his successful debut album Tsholofelo which was released in 2014 and Refiloe in 2015. Cassper’s first two albums went double platinum.
He posted the art cover of the new album on his Instagram captioned: “#Thuto 07/05/2017 Get Ready”.
The artwork and cover of the new album will be credited to Jonathan Mannion – the legendary photographer who has worked with international stars including Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre and Jay Z.
Cassper’s single Tito Mboweni has already graced the trend list, though it has not been released yet. He only performed a piece of the song at a show recently.
Gemini Major of Ragga Ragga fame will feature on the album with a song titled Goapele.
Meanwhile, fans of the local musician have flooded social media with goodwill messages after the rapper announced the release date of his latest album. They have already declared the album a masterpiece which will definitely go double platinum in no time at all.
