Hey! When next someone tells you that American born singer, Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter, popularly known as Beyoncé will be making it to South Africa during her 40-date stadium formation tour, just tell the person to take a pew!
Piles of speculations usually buzz around town each time the super diva announces about a new world tour.
Recently, the 34-year-old world megastar – who thrilled her fans after dropping a new album and movie Lemonade last month – announced her 40-date stadium tour following her epic half time performance at the Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara.
As expected, rumour mongers in the country picked up the news, speculating that the microphone queen will be visiting South Africa. But, as learnt by reporters, the International songwriter, record producer and actress won’t be stepping near the shores of our country- as South Africa is not part of the star’s “world tour” plans. Yet.
However, after Beyonce’s tour announcement, it was all too much for local Beyoncé fans who grope their way to the internet with messages calling for their music idol to come to South Africa.
Some of them tweeted:
Beyonce’s Formation Tour
Beyoncé kicked off her 40-date stadium formation tour with a two-hour mix of fan favorites, songs from Lemonade, and special dedications, including a special one for her husband.
BillBoard Magazine reported that after showing clips of family videos – which are not new to fans who’ve seen the Lemonade film, the superstar brought down the house with her hit song “Halo” and dedicated it to Jay Z.
“I want to dedicate this song to my family, thank you guys for supporting me. I want to dedicate this song to my beautiful husband, I love you so much.”
However, it appears rapper and music mogul- Jay Z won’t be joining his wife on the formation tour this time. Their high-profile relationship has been the subject of fan scrutiny since its beginning sometime in the late 1990s
Meanwhile, new tickets have been released for Beyonce’s sold-out Formation World Tour concert in Manchester.
