According to a reliable source, Bonang only agreed to accept the gig if Viacom Networks would fly her stylist from New York to
Johannesburg. And they did just that. Thus, we not only know how much she charges per gig, we also know she reserves the rights to state conditions that must be met before she can pick up the mic.
Apparently, companies are willing to go the extra mile to have Bonang as a host at their events.

Besides, Bonang was asked to present the show just a day before it went on air. This was after US-based Daily Show host Trevor Noah pulled out at the last minute due to health related issues.
The preparation period was short, but Bonang proved she was born ready. According to the TV star, she had 13 years of her career to prepare for a big event such as the MAMAs.
Meanwhile, reports say that Nomzamo who is equally beautiful and talented, received a token of R35 000 to host alongside Bonang.
